I got this news from Philippine technology mogul, Yuga. TG Averatec is releasing a netbook (oops the company prefers to call it mini-laptop), the TG Averatec N1000.
TG Averatec N1000 mini laptop/netbook specs and features:

- Intel Atom 1.6GHz N270
- 10.2 - inch display screen
- 160GB HDD
- 1GB DDR2 RAM
- WiFi 802.11 b/g
- 1.3 MP webcam
- 4-in-1 card reader
- MS Windows XP Home
- 5 hours of battery life

I have a Samsung NC10 with a battery life of over 5 hours. Looks like TG Averatec N1000 wants to compete with the battery specs.

Philippine price: P23,900 (about US$498).

Thanks to Yuga.
