This will be interesting! Check this out guys - the first Viral Video Film Festival: A Cure to the common Crud! This is part of the BEFILM Underground Film Festival, which is now on its 5th year.
According to its website, the Viral Video Film Festival will be on the evening of April 28th 2008 at 7PM. Produced in association with Dailymotion.com, the festival will introduce the best of the latest crop of its shortest films because "Shorter Is Better"! through a very special screening dedicated to the new art form that has been infesting the web: "Viral Videos".

Viral videos is becoming a medium for advertising. They are short, edgy and they easily gain widespread popularity through internet sharing via blogs and websites. Because of the cheap and easy sharing of these short clips, advertisers are now aiming to tap this marketing vehicle.

That is why this Viral Film Festival was born -- to showcase the best national and international short films in narrative, animation, documentary and experimental categories.

The festival is still open for submission.
