No other high-rise structure out there that leans as much as the Capital Gate Tower, in Abu Dhabi. Not even the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which leans 3.97 degrees, can surpass this record. Capital Gate Tower prides itself with an intentional 18 degree westward incline.
The developers of the Tower have submitted a joint application to the Guinness Book of Records to recognize the tower as the 'most inclined in the world'.

Because of its unique posture, Capital Gate is being constructed on top of an incredibly dense mesh of reinforced steel. The dense mesh sits above an intensive distribution of 490 piles which have been drilled 30 metres underground to accommodate the gravitational, wind and seismic pressures caused by the lean of the building. Features of the tower include 728 unique custom-made diamond-shaped glazing panels that due to the structure's curving shape, will be will be fitted at a slightly different angle.

Just like the U.S. economy, things are going upside down. Even houses are built upside down in purpose to depict the economic downturn. Would you believe that?
Nah, I am just kidding. These upside-down houses were built purely for fun, for tourist attractions; created by the upside-down minds. LOL.  [more photos after the jump]

Where could you find these upside-down houses? Photos of them abound online. And they are just everywhere.

Here is one. The 'Upside Down House' in Trassenheide on Usedom Island, northern Germany. The house of an entrepreneur from Poland is part of the project 'The World Upside Down' that should allow visitors a different view of every day items.
Here is another one located in Poland in the tiny village of Szymbark.
This is Norman Johnson's Upside-Down House in Central Florida.
The "Upside-Down House", designed in 1959 by James Morris and Robert Steedman, the Scottish architects, holds a prominent place in Edinburgh's recent architectural history.

A quick googling will reveal the top search results that the world's longest beach is Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh. It has a length of 120 km. There is another site that says the longest beach is in California. However, wikipedia says that it is not Cox's Bazar, but the beach in Brazil known as Praia do Cassino that holds the record of having the longest beach in the world of about 250 km.
Praia do Cassino beach is located adjacent to the city of Rio Grande, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Approximately 254 km long, it stretches from the Molhes (stone barrier built into the ocean separating the beach from the entrance to the Rio Grande seaport) in Cassino beach to nearly Chuí, on the border with Uruguay.

Look at the image and you'd be amazed not to see the end of the beach, like it just stretches to infinity.

Other long beaches around the world: Fraser Island beach, 90 Mile Beach in Australia and 90 Mile Beach in New Zealand (88 km) and Long Beach, Washington (which is about 40 km). Wasaga Beach, Ontario on Georgian Bay claims to have the world's longest freshwater beach.

Where is "The Moon and Star on Earth" really located? Is there really such a place on earth? Where is this photo taken from? Or is this just a make-believe or a fake photo?
When I got this photo, I immediately searched online for the exact location, but found nothing. I've read in one forum that the star is fake! However, the moon is Molokini in Maui, Hawaii.

Any confirmation?
