Wait is over in Europe. The Gigabyte M912M and M912X tablet style netbooks are now shipping in Europe. This was the first netbook I intended to buy but never did after the MSI Wind and the ACER Aspire One came into the picture. But wait, the Gigabyte is never less superior. In fact, it is the better netbook. It is just a bit on the pricy side (about $700 to $800 US) compared to the other 9" or 10" netbooks that are priced even below the $500 mark.

The Gigabyte M912 has a touchscreen display that you can swivel and fold down over the keyboard to use the computer in tablet mode. The M912X offers a high resolution 1280 x 768 display, while the M912M has a lower resolution 1024 x 600 display. Price difference is about 50 Euros ($70).

If you are in Europe, you can buy the the Gigabyte M912 from Mobilex. If you’re in the US, dynamism.com is accepting orders.
