When you travel, the little things that you bring with you are what normally count in times of emergency. I am talking about what is inside your travel kit.

The little bag inside your huge luggage is just as important as the rest of your things. The travel kit serves as the savior when situations don't seem to be the way you think it might be. Take this example. You went hiking the whole day and unexpectedly, suffered leg cramps when you hit the bed in the evening. What will you do? If the pain is unbearable, you may call 911. Or most likely, you may ask for help from the front desk. However, if you have some pain killers in your kit, the misery disappears in no time.

I had an experience before when I rented a motel room somewhere in the mid-west. I checked in late at night. As I was about to take a shower, I noticed that the motel didn't provide a shampoo nor a bath soap. For others who expect to see these things to be provided would surely go cursing endlessly. I didn't. I had those stuff ready in my little kit -- a savior to the rescue!

Be ready, as boy scouts say. When you go to a weekend trip somewhere far, try to bring those little light stuff you think the hotel won't provide, or you might need on your trip. Bring medicines with you: pain relievers/fever reducers, creams for insects bites and allergy, a small bottle of NyQuil for cold/flu relief. Bring your vitamins too even it is just a two-day trip. There is a section in WalMart where you can pick things for your travel kit - shampoo, soap, toothpaste, mouthwash, cotton buds, and a lot more.

Travel light. Your travel kit must be as light as possible. Don't be paranoid to bring things that are very unnecessary. Don't bring all your colognes, one is enough. I would suggest you buy a travel kit that has lots of compartments inside so organization would be easy and you wouldn't have a hard time finding each stuff when they're needed.

So what is inside your travel kit?
