Puzzle: Four trees and a land

Here is a classic puzzle for all of you. Enjoy thinking and solving.

An old man left his four children a land (shown below) with four old acacia trees that have been standing there for many many years.Before the man died, the 4 children were instructed to divide the land into four equal parts, that is, the same shape and size. Each part of land must have one acacia tree on it.

How do you think the 4 children would divide the land? [solution after the jump]
