This is not the Gigabyte model that I have been waiting for to be available in the U.S. But it looks to me that the Gigabyte M1022 Booktop is unique in itself because of its docking station that could make the netbook to stand upright, and work like a desktop.

Videos Gigabyte M1022 Booktop are showing up in YouTube. Netbooknews.de has a hands-on video, which I posted below.

Video: First impressions of the Gigabyte M1022M BookTop Netbook which comes with a docking station.

The Gigabyte T1028M Touch Note has been unboxed. The Gigabyte Touch Note is something to look forward to because of its pre-installed 3G. It does not have any release date for the U.S., but Europeans seem to have a hands-on already.

April 30, 2009 could be the date the Gigabyte netbooks will be launched. There is the Gigabyte T1028M TouchNote and the Gigabyte M1022 Booktop that we are all waiting to see.

I personally like the Gigabyte TouchNote because of its touchscreen display. It can also be converted into tablet mode.

The price is estimated to be over $650. It is a bit higher compared to other netbooks but I hope when it is launched, the price would go down.

I have been waiting for Gigabyte to come up with a 10-inch netbook. Gigabyte M912 was the first netbook that I was eyeing for many months ago. I specifically like its tablet mode. The only downside of it was the price. Gigabyte M912 costs too much for a netbook vis-a-vis the other existing, equally-efficient netbooks in the market today.

Now that Gigabyte is planning to release 10-inch line of netbooks, I might give it a try. DigiTimes reports that the company is planning to launch 3 new netbook models with 10" screens during the second quarter of 2009.

The new models will still have the touchscreen feature and the tablet mode. The price? Don't know exactly yet. A retail price of below $500 will be the best price for netbook competition.
