Roads destroyed, trees cut

I am saddened to see the trees in front of Cottonwood coffee shop in downtown Brookings cut to the ground.
The trees were a good source of shade. They also beautified the main street. Isn't it pleasing to see greens lining the streets? Too late, with the road renovations going on this summer, the trees were affected and had to go.


I wonder what their plans are along the alleys now that the trees are gone.
