There is something just not right in the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards. Check my post last March 9, which I listed the nominees (you can focus on the 'Best OFW Blog category' to help you out), and then check this (the final list). What did you notice? Clear manipulation of the listing, huh!? I didn't check the other categories. However, I am certain it has also the same issue.I do not know what the organizers did that we bloggers were left unaware of. Were those blogs inserted at the last minute? Or did they intentionally do this so the Pinoy bloggers would create a buzz about the upcoming awards night? Yuga has to explain this discrepancy, otherwise, it will create a negative impact to the veracity of the awards, which the Philippine Blog Awards, in itself, I must say is great Pinoy endeavor.

Ahhh we forgot to clarify that we do the tallying manually. As such, when we closed the nominations, there were still so many nominees left unpublished. Our fault was we did not exlain that the publicaiton of the nominees page were not automated but manually updated.

It is just that bloggers have been posting the nominees in their blogs and thinking there were only a handful of them in a category since the list remain the same days after the nominations were closed.
Personally, I was caught by surprise to see that there were tens more secretly added...it was just shocking to realize the blogs that made it as finalists were not even in the original list.
Anyway, thanks for the your explanation. You still have my support for the next Philippine Blog Awards.
